Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately seal liquid by arranging a porous elastic ring which impregnates sealing agent at a gap between the concave of a batrery cover and the conductive member of a plate, compressing it, extracting the sealing agent, and sealing the gap. CONSTITUTION:A concave 13 is formed on a battery cover 1 and a conductive member 2 which is connected to a plate 3 is inserted. A porous elastic ring 5 in which epoxy thermosetting sealing agent consisting of ferrite is impregnated is arranged at their gap. Besides, a terminal member 4 which is pulled from the upper part of the battery cover 1 and formed by a rivet is inserted in the hollow section 21 of the conductive member 2. By pulling up the shaft 41 of the rivet 4 and by the actuation of the conical head section 42, the rivet 4 and the conductive member 2 are expanded and the elastic ring 5 is compressed. Sealing is performed by extracting and hardening the sealing agent. As a result, the extremely high reliability sealing can be formed.
