Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled sol-like mixture which can form living necessaries, etc. having exellent material feeling when said mixture is molded with heating, by mixing a microemulsion of a salt of a specified ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer with powdred production materials.
CONSTITUTION: Ammonium salt (or an alkali metal salt or an org. amine salt) of an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer contg. 60W95wt% ethylene component and 40W5wt% acrylic acid component, is dispersed in water without using any surfactant to obtain a microemulsion (the particle size of the copolymer salt is 0.01W20μ). Not less than 10pts.wt. (on a solid basis) said emulsion is blended with 100pts.wt. powdered production materials such as woodmeal, metallic powder or glass powder to obtain a sol-like mixture of powdered production materials. The mixture is molded and the molded article is dehydrated by heating it at 90W200°C to produce the desired product.
