Abstract

PURPOSE: To aim at improving efficiency of a pump by integrally embedding, in a synthetic resin impeller, a coreless motor armature coil of a flat shape which is incorporated in an electrical motor of an electrically driven fuel pump for a vehicle or the like.
CONSTITUTION: An armature coil 50 rotates integrally with an impeller 50 when electrical current is fed through brushes 40, and therefore, fuel is introduced into a blade chamber 54 from an intake port 14, then compressed in the blade chamber 54 and is finally discharged from a disharge port 18. Accordingly, fuel always flows through the inside of the pump. A chamber 58 is communicated with a discharge side chamber 21 through a communication passage 59 so that no stagnation is brough about in a housing 12, and the armature coil 50 is embeded in the impeller 46 so that the cooling of the armature coil is surely made. Thus, a lowering of motor efficiency due to a temperature rise of the armature coil may be prevented.
