Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:An N-sulfoalkylaniline derivative of formula I (R1 is H, lower alkyl or 2W4C sulfoalkyl; R2 is 2W4C sulfoalkyl; R3 is H, OCH3, OH, etc.; R4 is H, OCH3 or lower alkyl) and a salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: Calcium salt of N-ethyl-N-sulfopropyl-3-methylaniline.
USE: A dye forming substance for clinical tests, useful for the determination of H2O2 in which a peroxidase catalyzes or takes part. For example, the derivative is useful for determining glucose, uric acid or cholesterol. High water-solubility and storage stability.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II is reacted with sodium bromoethanesulfonate, propane soltone, etc. to give the compound of formula I.
