Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise impact and vibration resistance and facilitate the removal of a battery by fastening to a part of a case a battery holding member having an elasticity for encasing a battery.
CONSTITUTION: A recess 22b is formed in a system 22 driven on a battery as power source and a terminal plate 24 for the elastic contact with the (-) electrode projection 21b of a battery 21 is placed at the bottom of the recess 22b. A battery holding member 27 for elastically holding a battery is placed close to the side wall 22a of the recess 22b while holding the battery 21. Even if impact and vibration are applied to the whole structure of a wrist watch, the diametrical deflection of an elastic portion 27c is restricted due to the contact of te side wall 22a and portion 27c. Thereby, the transmission of the deflection in the diamterical direction of an opening portion 27a and, the fall of the battery 21 from a case 22 are prevented and impact force is reduced by the portion 27c for preventing the failure and deformation of the system 22.
