Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of installation and ejection of a battery by holding the battery with a springlike contact having a claw which prevents the battery from jumping up and a projection whose upper surface is curved. CONSTITUTION:A circuit substrate 13 is installed between a bottom lid 11 and an upper plate 12 of a main body 10 of a thin electronic desk-top calculator. The circuit substrate 13 is formed with a rectangular out-away part in one side at the midpoint thereof. The main body 10 also has a concave hole 15 which corresponds to the rectangular cut-away part and has a shape similar to that of a battery, in which hole 15 a button-type battery 14 is installed to form a storage room for the battery. A negative contact 17 for the battery is provided on the bottom of the storage room, while an elastic positive contact 18a for the battery is provided on the inner side wall of the storage room. The positive contact 18a is provided with the projection of a curved claw 18 which restricts any upward movement of the button- type battery 14. A rib 16, which stands opposite to the contact 18a, together with the positive contact 18a holds the battery 14 in place. The upper surface of the rib 16 is curved in order to facilitate the installation of the battery.
