Abstract

PURPOSE: To joint two hard-to-join materials easily with high strength in one process of a hot static hydraulic press forming method by forming recess parts in both the joined materials at their positions that correspond to joint parts and then by inserting coupling materials, made of materials possible for diffusion and joining, into both recessed parts.
CONSTITUTION: Hard-to-join material B is sandwiched in between easy-to-join materials A1 and A2, straight holes 1 are made penetrating those laminated materials A1, B and A2, and coupling materials 2 which can be diffusion-joined with the easy- to-join materials are inserted into through holes 1 to obtain a united assembly. This assembly is made to fill airtight container 3, which is deaerated via deaerating pipe 4 and then sealed by closing deaerating pipe 4. This is HIP-treated in a treating device for hot static hydraulic press forming (HIP), and consequebtly both materials A1 and A2 are diffusion-joined by coupling materials 2 in through holes 1 to couple in one body. Thus, interposing hard-to-join material B joins with them by diffusion while a deficiency in bonding strength between the two is replenished.
