Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate opening, closing and recovering of an underwater fence used for preventing scattering of filthy mud or sludge, by disposing rotary bearing at the portions where a rope is extended, so as to guide the rope in freely movable manner.
CONSTITUTION: The fence of this invention comprises resilient canvas 1, which is suspended vertically downward by floats 2. A plurality of apertures 3 are formed at the portion of canvas 1 located downwardly of floats 2, so that wire rope 4 is extended through the apertures 3 for enabling to fold the fence. Rear end of the fence is connected to guide pole 19 in freely slidable manner and a protector float 10 is provided at the front end portion of fence. Fence winding winch 15 and driving motor 16 are provided at one side of water channel and fence feeding winch 17 and driving motor 16 are provided at the other side.
