Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it easy to weld a body to be welded which is hard to move, by providing a welder performing welding by focusing laser light, freely rotatably. CONSTITUTION:Laser light 4a is sent from laser light transmitter 1 to prisms 2a and 2b. Prisms 2a and 2b are so stacked that their thickest parts will agree vertically. Laser light 4b refracted by prisms 2a and 2b is focused on the welded parts of bodies 6a and 6b to be welded through condenser lens 3 to weld the both. The focusing position should be (c) away from the center of the axis and holder 5 holds and rotates prisms 2a and 2b and lens 3 in one body to perform circular welding. Further, prism 2b, while in contact with prism 2a, is rotated at an angle of 0-180 deg. to vary the angle of refraction of laser light 4b, so that the focusing point of condenser lens 3 can be set to a random value between 0- (c) for the center line of laser line 4b.
