Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise light fiber and photoelectric converter device combining efficiency by fixedly setting light fiber in a plurality of grooves of a substrate and setting the tip portion of the fiber oppositely to the photoelectric converter portion of a photoelectric converter device. CONSTITUTION:The V-grooves 2 consisting of a parallel portion with a width equal to or larger than the outer diameter of light fiber 5 and a tapering portion which is connected to the parallel portion and whose tip portion has a somewhat smaller width than the outer diameter of that of the fiber 5 is provided on substrates 1 and 1'. The fiber 5 is held by the V-grooves 2 of the both substrate 1 and 1'. A transparent resin 7 having a refractive index equal to that of the fiber 5 is filled between the substrates 1 and 1' and the fiber 5. A surface light-emitting device 9 is provided on a part of a photoelectric converter device 8 and the device 9 and the substrate 1 are kept at proper positions and fastened with a transparent resin 10 having a refractive index equal to that of the fiber 5.
