Abstract

CONSTITUTION: At least a pair of digital gauges 4, 4 are placed on or near the diagonal relative to a rotary shaft, and are pressed against a reference surface for centering of a driving shaft, and zero adjustment is conducted. Then, with a driven shaft rotated by about 180°, the reading or measured values of the gauges 4 are transferred to a memory unit 6 and arithmetically operated, and adjusting position and adjusting amount are indicated. Based on the indication, the driven shaft is moved, newly measured values attendant on the movement are sequentially transferred to a memory unit 8, and the adjusting position and adjusting amount are newly operated and indicated. By continuing the movement until this indication of the adjusting amount becomes zero, centering of the driving and driven shafts is completed with a predetermined precision.
