Abstract

PURPOSE: To determine the position and diameter of holes simply and at a high efficiency and accuracy by measuring the amount of displacement of sensors rotated in the hole.
CONSTITUTION: Each sensor 12 is set such that, even when it is rotated by a master to a proper accuracy, it is not displaced. When a work 5 is then set by upper and lower centers 9, 10 while fitting a reference hole 6 around a reference pin 11, end portions of the sensors 12 are fitted into mounting holes 7 provided in a flange portion of the work 5. A motor 21 is then driven to rotate a shaft 22 so that shafts 15 are rotated via gears 23, 24. The shafts 15 are rotated uniformly via belts 20 wrapped around pulleys 19 mounted thereon. The rotation of the shafts 15 causes members 14 to rotate the sensors 12. Thus, the position and diameter of the mounting holes 7 are determined.
