Abstract

PURPOSE:To make smooth a pulsating flow by making the path part of a diaphragm pump to be resilient. CONSTITUTION:Upon lifting of a diaphragm 1, corresponding flow is supplied into a pump chamber 2 while simultaneously the resilient wall 7b constituting a part of a path 7 is bent upwardly as shown by a dushed line by the negative pressure to reduce the volume in said path. Upon lowering of the diaphragm 1, the liquid is pushed out by the function of a suction valve 3 and a delivery valve 4, but the path part 7 at the suction side below said suction valve 3 will continuously suck the liquid by the recovery operation of the resilient wall 7b. Consequently when properly setting the flexure of the resilient wall 7b, the pump will continuously suck the liquid even during delivery. Similarly the resilient wall 8b of the path part 8 at the delivery side will bend downwardly during delivery as shown by a dushed line, to increase the volume in the path, and deliver the liquid continuously by the recovering force of the resilient wall 8b during delivery of pump. Consequently the pulsating flow is smoothened.
