Abstract

PURPOSE: To hold a screw at a fixed position irrespective of the variation in the floating height of a hydrofoil boat by providing a float on the top of its stern arm and mounting an outboard motor on this float area.
CONSTITUTION: The arm 6 is rotatingly mounted to the rear ship's bottom of the hydrofoil boat 1 which floats up to the fixed height and is sailed by the hydrofoil 2 which is mounted on a pole 3. The float 4 is provided on the top of the arm 6 and the outboard motor 5 is mounted on this float 4. When the boat sails at high speed, the hull 1 floats. However, this structure can always retain the outboard motor 5 at a fixed position irrespective of the variation in its floating height. When the hull does not float up at low speed, the float 1 is housed in the stern concave 8 of the hull 1 and is united with the hull in a body.
