Abstract

PURPOSE: To assure the same rise in output liquid pressure as in input liquid pressure, by moving a fail-safe piston toward a defective system by liquid pressure imbalance when the system has become defective.
CONSTITUTION: When the first system has become defective, a secondary piston 5' also follows the motion of a primary piston 5 through a clip 6 and a valve seat 24 goes off the valve portion 25 of a balance piston 8 to suspend the liquid pressure control of the second system. When the second system has become defective, the valve mechanism of the first system performs the same motion as in normal operation but the primary piston 5 is moved by liquid pressure into contact with the secondary piston 5' and stopped thereon. At that time, the motion of a control piston 10 is restricted by a stopper 23, a valve portion 11 cannot come into contact with a valve seat 12 and the liquid pressure control of the valve mechanism of the system A is suspended so that output liquid pressure Pa2 rises to the same level as input liquid pressure Pa1 as the output liquid pressure Pa2 remains connected with the input liquid pressure Pa1.
