Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the converter with one reference analog voltage source, by connecting a resistance for level shift across the reference voltage dividing resistance group, in (N+a)-bit parallel type of converter using 2<a> sets of N-bit parallel type A/D converters. CONSTITUTION:In constituting (N+a)-bit parallel type A/D converter by using 2<a> sets of N-bit parallel type A/D converters, an analog input signal Ain is converted into the signal Dout in (N+a)-bit via N-bit parallel type A/D converters 11, 12. Each A/D converter consists of (N-1) sets of comparators 13-1, 13-2, decoder circuits 14-1, 14-2 and reference voltage dividing resistance groups 15-1, 15-2 which supply the reference analog voltage corresponding to each comparator, and the level shift resistance having 1/2<a> of resistance value of one resistance 1 is connected across the reference voltage dividing resistance group respectively by (2<a>-1) sets in series, and common reference analog voltage is fed respectively to B1, B2, D1, and D2 of each series connecting point.
