Abstract

PURPOSE:To convert the output of high frequency directly to the output of low frequency by providing two generating coils with the phase difference of 180 deg. to a multipolar AC generator and by controlling the current flowing into the coils by a bi-directional control switch. CONSTITUTION:The engine-driven AC generator is provided with the 1st and 2nd generating coils 1 and 2 whose ends on one side are connected in common and which induce AC voltage having phase difference of 180 deg. from each other, while the other ends thereof are connected with a load 7 through the intermediary of the bi-directional control switches 4 and 6 composed of thyristors connected in anti- parallel to each other. And each of thyristors S1-S4 is controlled by a trigger circuit 15 consisting of an oscillating circuit 16, a nonstable multivibrator 17 and AND circuits 18 and 19. Accordingly, the output of high frequency outputted by the generating coils 1 and 2 can be converted to a frequency of 50 or 60Hz without conversion to the direct current, and thus the efficiency of the conversion can also be raised to a large extent.
