Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an operation of oscillating start, that is, soft start in a synchronization with zero voltage of the low frequency AC power source, by such method as to directly convert a low frequency AC power into a high frequency AC power. CONSTITUTION:The connection is made from a low frequency AC power source 1 to AC input terminals U-U' of a frequency converter circuit 3', with an input condenser 30' connected across both ends of the line in a manner of parallel connection. A parallel-connected unit, of a resonant coil 31' and a resonant condenser 32', and AC input ends of a diode bridge circuit 35 are connected in a manner of series connection. Across terminals of +output and -output of the diode bridge circuit 35, is connected a power swtiching semiconductor 34'. The power switching semiconductor 34' is controlled by a control circuit 4. The control circuit 4 detects an output of the diode bridge circuit 35 to control a conduction of the power switching semiconducter 34'.
