Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the speed loss in the steam chamber by an arrangement wherein an inner radius and a width of a steam path are nearly constant, an outer radius thereof is reduced in the inflow direction and openings with constant intervals therebetween and guide walls each inclined to make an acute angle with the inflow direction are provided along the inner periphery.
CONSTITUTION: Steam is introduced from an inlet 2 of a steam chamber 1 and flows into a one step nozzle 51 from a steam path 3 via a connector path 4. An inner radius r1 and a width b' of the steam path are nearly constant, and an outer radius r2 thereof is gradually reduced from an inflow point with an increasing angle θ at the circumference. The reduced amount of the outer radius is almost in proportional to the angle θ so that r2 becomes nearly equaly to r1 after making a round. By so doing, a flow in the path 3 becomes free of a vortex flow and thus the speed loss within the path 3 can be reduced.
