Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform casting extremely accurately and inexpensively by quickly melting a heat-resistant alloy in a protecting gaseous atmosphere, and sucking and exhausting the protecting atmospheric gas through the mold during pouring.
CONSTITUTION: A protecting atmospheric gas is filled in a melting chamber 22 and a suction-exhaust chamber 23 by using inflow pipes 26a, 30a, and outflow pipes 26b, 30b. A top cover 34 is opened to charge the preheated heat-resistant alloy ingot into a melting furnace 25, thence the top cover 34 is closed and the ingot is quickly heated with a high-frequency heating coil 24. Just before it melts, the top cover 34 is opened and an airpermeable mold 28 which has been preheated is installed into an opening part 21a. The top cover 34 is reclosed and the heating is continued. When the proper pouring temp. is reached, the melting furnace 25 is titled and the molten metal is quickly poured into the mold 28. Just before the pouring, valves 31a, 31b are closed and a valve 27a is closed, then by using a valve 27f, an atmospheric gas is exhausted; also a suction-exhaust pipe 32 is opened to suck and exhaust the atmospheric gas through the mold 28. Thence, the top cover 34 is opened and the mold 28 is taken out and is knocked out.
