Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an imperfect combustion and to surely retain a stable inner furnace temperature by a method wherein a part of the exhaust gas from a sludge incinerator is recirculated into the incinerator and the exhaust gas temperature from the incinerator is controlled by adjusting the circulation quantity of the exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: An oxygen concentration is detected by means of an oxygen concentration detector 10 installed in an exhaust gas passage 4 and based on this, the opening degree of an axial cooling air duct damper 12 and an exhaust damper 13 is controlled through an oxygen concentration adjusting unit 11 to obtain an exhaust gas quantity corresponding to a given air ratio. For the fluctuation of the exhaust gas temperature at the furnace outlet port 3 owing to the fluctuation of a load and the burning material quality, the exhaust gas circulation quantity passing through the duct 17 is adjusted and the temperature at the furnace outlet port is controlled. When a hot wind temperature fluctuates, the temperature is controlled within the range of a good heat efficiency wherein a dilution quantity is controlled by an exhaust gas passing through the duct 16 by means of the hot wind temperature adjusting unit 29 and a clinker is not generated in the incinerator 1.
