Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of air voids by a method wherein a foamable synthetic resin is poured between a lower mold for molding a surface portion and an upper mold having a recessed groove provided to an inner surface thereof for molding a back surface portion and, after foaming and molding, a portion of projections on a back surface of the molded product is shaved. CONSTITUTION:On a lower mold 1 for molding the surface portion having a pattern molding portion provided to inner surface thereof and having a silicone rubber mold 7 mounted therein along an inner surface thereof, the upper mold 3 for molding the back surface portion having, for example, a grid like recessed groove 2 provided to an inner surface thereof is placed and the foamable synthetic resin 4 such as an urethane resin or the like is poured into the interior thereof and heated and foamed to form projections 6 on the back surface of the foamed molded product 5. This molded product 5 having the projections 6 is taken out from the upper mold 3 and the lower mold 1 and, thereafter, upper surfaces of the projections 6 are shaved by sanding to adjust the thickness thereof to produce the building panel. Thereby, because a gas can be vented from the recessed portion of the upper mold, the generation of air voids is reduced and the appearance is enhanced.
