Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the detection accuracy in the ignition device with a knocking sensor by detecting a knocking signal from a comparison of the knocking sensor output as it is outputted from the knocking sensor and an averaged value of the knocking sensor output.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided the knocking sensor NS which detects electrically the vibration of an engine and provides a detection signal. The detection signal is fed into a high-pass filter HPF and band-pass filter BPF, by which the knocking frequency included in the detection signal is discriminated. The output from the band- pass filter BPF is half-wave rectified by a half-wave rectifier HR and inputted into a capacitor C9 via an amplifier AMP2. The output from the capacitor C9 is inputted into one input terminal of a comparator CO1 via an amplifier AMP3. The other input terminal of the comparator CO1 is supplied with the output from the band- pass filter BPF. The comparator CO1 compares the both inputs, and only when the input from the capacitor C9 is larger than the input from the band-pass filter BPF, outputs the comparison result as a knocking signal. When the knocking signal is outputted, an output terminal Vout of knocking control circuit NC provides an output for lagging the ignition timing later than the ignition timing at that time.
