Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a cold-rolled steel plate of superior workability by continuously casting the molten steel of which free oxygen amount has been cntrolled to a specific range while applying electromagnetic flow to the solidification interface then continuously hot rolling and cold rolling the same and further continuously annealing the same. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel contg. 0.012-0.080% C, 0.06-0.20% Mn, <= 0.025% P, <=0.025% S, <=0.03% Si, <=0.007% sol. Al and 50-250ppm free oxygen amount is continuously cast. In this case, it is cast while thrust is being acted thereon by the linear motors 3, 3 provided in the long-side mold in a continuous casting mold consisting of long sides 1 and short sides 2, in such a manner that the solidification interface part of the molten steel 4 in the mold reflows in the arrow directions. This continuously cast slab is hot-rolled and is coiled at >=630 deg.C, after which it is cold-rolled to a steel plate. Next, this steel is soaked at the temp. between the recrystallization temp. of said steel and Ac3 transformation point, whereby it is annealed. Finally, it is skin-pass-rolled, whereby the cold-rolled steel plate of superior workability is produced.
