Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of a particle as in a floating state by a method wherein a light-reducing output is measured in a floating state of a micro particle such as an aerosol, etc. by using two light-reducing type densitometers having different wave length and a diameter of a particle is measured from the light-reducing output ratio thereof. CONSTITUTION:A sample is sucked from an inlet port 11 at one side wall by means of a fan 13 and the sample is exhausted from the outlet port 12 at the other side wall. At a remaining side wall, a tungsten lamp is covered with a slit 4 to make a light source 2 and facing to the light source 2, two light receiving elements 5 having the same characteristics each other are covered with the slit 4 and arranged at a side wall facing to the light source, and in front of them, each of different interference filters 3 is arranged. The light transmitting the sample comes out through the interference filter as the light having different wave length characteristics and enters in the light receiving element 5. Each of these input is respectively converted through logarithmic converters 15, 16 separately to become a different output and are displayed in an instrument 17 as an output ratio. Since there is a constant relation between said output ratio and the diameter of a particle, a diameter of the particle as it is in a floating state can be obtained from the output ratio.
