Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an appropriate air-fuel ratis in a fuel injector of an internal combustion engine having a turbocharger by a method wherein there is provided a constant-pressure valve for regulating an injecting quantity of fuel in proportion to the air pressure sucked.
CONSTITUTION: On a suction-and-exhaust system is arranged the turbocharger 2 consisting of a compressor 3 and a turbine 4. On the venturi part 6 of the suction system is provided a passage 14 and the quantity f fuel injected from a fuel injection valve 10 to an intake manifold 8 is determined by the quantity of air flowing the passage 14 through a computer 15. On a fuel inlet pipe 18 having a fuel tank 13 and a fuel pump 12 is provided a diaphragm type constant-pressure valve 11, the air pressure sucked is introduced in a negative pressure chamber of this constant pressure valve 11 through a pressure pipe 17 and the quantity of fuel flowing to a fuel outlet pipe 19 is corrected in proportion to the air pressure of that time.
