Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a compact feeder eliminating any feed tank by mounting an ink cartridge directly to a subtank having a cartridge receptacle on the top thereof. CONSTITUTION:An ink cartridge 13 is forced into a cartridge receptacle 18 provided on the top of a subtank body 17 and a cartridge cap 15 is pushed up with a thrust bar 16 against a spring 14. An ink 2 in the cartridge 13 flows inside a coarse mesh cylindrical filter 19 provided in the subtank body 17 and fills the subtank body 17 until the liquid surface thereof moves up to the height of outflow port of the cartridge 13. This prevents air from entering the cartridge 13 thereby stopping the outflow of the ink 2.
