Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a remarkably stable swirl flow in a vertical duct for the change of a direction and velocity of a wind, by providing notches of a cylindrical part in the vertical duct of a wind power generating device in a diagonal direction with respect to the axial line of the cylindrical part.
CONSTITUTION: When a wind blows, the wind passes through notches 2 diagonally provided in the cylindrical part of a vertical duct 1 with respect to the axial line of the vertical duct and is tangentially introduced into the duct 1. And then the wind causes a swirl flow in the duct 1 and is discharged to the atmosphere from the upper part of the vertical duct 1. the swirl flow generated in the inside of the vertical duct 1 causes a pressure reducing state in the center portion along the axial line of the vertical duct, then a large quantity of air is introduced from an inlet part 5 of an air induction pipe 4 and allowed to pass an outlet part 6 of the air induction pipe and flow into the vertical duct 1, permitting the rotation of a propeller 7 equipped in the inside of the air induction pipe 4. As the propeller 7 rotates a generator 9 equipped to a rotary shaft 10 of the propeller 7 is driven to generate electric power.
