Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce temperature detection errors arising from an irregular distribution of room temperature by providing an automatic combustion controller with a temperature detection hysteresis and a time-limiting function, in a controller for a combuster used in a hot-air heater or the like.

CONSTITUTION: In operation, when a thermistor 30 detects room temprature and a temprature-detecting circuit 50 in the combustion controller 7 discrimintes the room temperature as being lower than a temperature which is preset on a setter 51, a combustion nstruction is fed to a controlling section 53, whereby heating is started. When the room tempeature reaches the preset temperature, the combustion is stopped at a point P₁ in the graph and a convection-type blower 23 is also stopped. Then, even if the distribution of room temperature becomes irregular and the actual temperature falls below TL, the operation is not restarted as long as the thermistor 30 is detecting a temperature higher than TL. To overcome such an inconvenience, a timer element for counting a predetermined period of time tO from the time when it reaches the preset time TS is incorporated in the controlling section 53 so as to give a time-up instruction to the circuit 50 and simultaneously give a combustion instruction to the controlling section 53.
