Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a simultaneous control for both the quantity and the temperature of the fused ink, by deciding the output of a temperature-sensitive element put into the fused ink via a specified circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The output of the temperature-sensitive element 21 is received by the level detector 22, and the detector 22 delivers the H level when the output is larger than the level set previously. When the ON input terminal 24 of the heater controller 23 receives the H level, the heater 25 incorporated into a heat roller is heated up and then broken when the OFF input terminal 26 receives the H level. At the same time, the heating time of the heater 25 is compared with the reversing time of the detector 22 by the timer 28. And in case the output of the element 21 does not reach the detection level although the above-mentioned heating time and the reversing time exceed the set time each, the fact that the fused ink does not cover the element 21 any more is decided. Thus a command is given to the ink supply mechanism 32 to secure a supply of the ink.
