Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the coefficient of performance of the heat pump by utilizing the heat of refrigeration of a heat pump cycle as the heat of cooling in summer season.
CONSTITUTION: Around a deep-well pump 14 are provided freezing pipes 4 and 4a at such intervals as allowing proper apertures for water channels when frozen soils 9 and 9a are formed at the outer periphery thereof. This deep-well pump 14 of a heat pump type is employed for heating in winter season, while the frozen soils 9 and 9a at the outer periphery of the freezing pipes 4 and 4a are left in the ground as frozen substance. When cooling is conducted in summer season, the underground water pumped up by the deep-well pump 14 passes through watering pipes 13 and 15 and circulates through an air conditioner 18, while this underground water passes through the frozen soils 9 and 9a and is turned into cool water of 5°CW7°C approx. by the latent heat of fusion of the frozen soils. Therefore, it becomes unnecessary to operate the air conditioner 18 by motive power in cooling and thus the cooling load is added for utilization, whereby the coefficient of performance of the heat pump is raised.
