PURPOSE:To improve the thermal resistance of a jacket by forming its main body out of a plastics-made sheet obtained by adding and mixing methyl metacrylate in a vinyl-chloride/vinyl-acetate copolymer as resin and then by forming it in a sheet. CONSTITUTION:Main jacket body A is formed out of plastics-made sheet 1 obtained by sheet-forming a mixture of a vinyl-chloride/vinyl-acetate copolymer and additive 1-10wt% methyl metacrylate, for example. Thus, since the main jacket body is made of the plastics-made sheet, the magnetic disk jacket never deforms even when recording and reproduction are performed at a high temperature, and consequently the thermal resistance can be improved without causing an output drop and output fluctuations.
