Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the effective dielectric constant by providing the air layer between the earth conductor and the dielectric substrate of the microstrip line and then to secure the continuous variation of the porpagation wavelength by changing the thickness of the air layer. CONSTITUTION:Ring-type strip conductor 16 forming the ring resonator between strip lines 13 and 13' is provided on dielectric substrate 12. And among the signals supplied through input terminal E, the frequency component that corresponds to the resonance wavelength which is determined by the radius of conductor 16 is extracted at terminal F as the output. Here if the frequency of the input signal shifts from the resonance frequency, some delay arises for the phase relation of the wave. But the effective dielectric constant can be decreased by providing air layer 15. Furhtermore, the effective dielectric constant can be changed by giving the control to the thickness of layer 15. Thus the compensation can be given to the shiaft from the design value.
