Abstract

PURPOSE: To make good sealing by forming a part of flow line on the both sides of a valve body whose side faces are tapered and slidably placing a ring seat.
CONSTITUTION: When flow line 2 is closed, no pressurized liquid is supplied to liquid pressure chamber 8 and 14 for pressure reduction. A piston 12 rises due to the working of springs 18 and 19 and at the same time a valve body 5 rises while spreading a ring seat 6. When the ring seat 6 is stopped by a key 7, the valve body 5 and the seat 6 wedge into each other, and the rise of the valve body 5 and piston 12 stops. Therefore, large surface pressure works between the valve 5 and seat 6 due to the wedging force generated by springs 18 and 19. For opening the line 2, the piston 12 and valve body 5 are lowered by supplying pressurized liquid to the chamber 14 until the flow course 4 of the valve body 5 and the line 2 agree with each other. Surface pressure is generated between the valve body 5 and seat 6 when pressurized liquid is supplied to the chamber 8.
