Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve oxidation resistance and dispersibility by depositing paraffin oxide or its derivative on the surfaces of metal magnetic powder.
CONSTITUTION: Metal magnetic powder is added to an organic solvent contg. paraffin oxide obtainable by oxidizing paraffin by the use of air or its derivative such as higher amine salt or alkaline earth metal salt and these are mixed under stirring. This powder is filtered and dried to allow the paraffin oxide or its derivative to deposit on the surfaces of the metal magnetic powder. These make it possible to improve the oxidation resistance of the metal magnetic powder as well as its dispersibility and filling characteristic to magnetic paint.
