Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce the titled head of the ink-on-demand type at low cost by a methid wherein a nozzle, a pressurizing chamber and an ink supply section are formed by injection molding of synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:The synthetic resin material (e.g., polysulfone, polyether sulfone, etc.) resistant to corrosion by the ink is injection molded to obtain a base plate 1 provided integrally with the nozzle 2, the pressurizing chamber 3, an ink supply passage 4, an ink supply chamber 5 and an ink supply pipe 6. Next, a vibrating plate 7 provided with an electrode 8 is adhered onto the base plate 1, and a piezoelectric element 9 provided with an electrode 10 is adhered onto the vibrating plate 7 to obtain the ink jet head (the numeral 11 indicates a synthetic resin tube connecting the head with an ink tank). When the vibrating plate 7 is molded from a reinforced composite material such as a glass fiber reinforced material, the flexing efficiency is enhanced.
