Abstract

PURPOSE:To offer a side cutter arrangement with which even narrow side cutters can be well used by pressing and fixing the tip to a locator installed in the slot which is provided at the periphery of a disc-shaped cutter body. CONSTITUTION:The body 1 of a cutter is provided with a slot 2 formed in the letter of L seen laterally. A locator 5 is arranged in this slot 2 and a tip seat is provided by excavation so that this locator 5 fixes a side cutter tip 7 tractively with the aid of a set screw 8 and a trigger 9. Accordingly, neither serration on the locator nor spot welding is required to fix the tip, that will ensure usability with narrow side cutters.
