PURPOSE:To stirr a fluidized layer sufficiently by a method wherein a flow speed of a fluid in a fluidized layer of fine solids is changed pulsatively in a predetermined range of a flow speed for initiating the flowing and a flow speed higher than this speed. CONSTITUTION:The ground particles are supplied into a fluidized container 1 by a feeder 6 and a fluid is supplied from a lower portion of the fluidized container 1 through a pipe 7 and a cylinder 8 to fluidize the ground particles. The cylinder 8 has a reciprocally moved piston driven by a motor 9 and a supply amount of a fluid is changed pulsatively by this cylinder 8. In this case, a fluid supply amount, that is, a fluid speed is controlled so as to be changed pulsatively in a constant period within a range of a flow speed for initiating the flowing of particles and a predetermined flow speed higher than this flow speed. Thereby, a fluid forms a fluidized layer as well as, because a flow speed of a fluidized layer is stirred by a fluid having a flow speed changed pulsatively, a good fluidized layer zone 11 is formed.
