Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a soft magnetic material having workability free from lowering, high Br/B10, low Hc and magnetic characteristics independent of magnetic heat treatment conditions by adding a specified amount of Al as a secondary component to a 50% Ni-Fe magnetic alloy.
CONSTITUTION: This magnetic alloy consists of 47W53% Ni, <1.15% Al, <1.5% Mn and the balance Fe. Mn is added as a desulfurizing agent and converts S into MnS to prevent the hot workability of the alloy from lowering owing to S. This alloy is a soft magnetic metallic material having superior magnetic characteristics such as ≥0.97 Br/B10, ≥14,000G B10 and ≤0.150e Hc.
