Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the highly elastic foamed styrene resin molding which is excellent in resilience, shock absorbability, and secondary processability by a method in which the prefoamed particles of the styrenic resin are expanded and then compressed until compressive strain reaches a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The prefoamed particles of the styrenic resin are filled in a mold and then exapanded by heating with steam so as to bind them together to obtain the foamed styrenic resin molding 4. Then, the molding 4 is separated from the mold, aged, cut to a desired size, and then compressed by the press machine 1, etc., until compressive strain reaches 25-50% in order to obtain the highly elastic formed styrenic resin molding. Thus, the objective molding which can be processed into complicated form by machine can be obtained at low cost.
