Abstract

PURPOSE:To cancel cross polarization components, by taking the beam direction of the main reflection mirror as a reference direction and by arranging the center of the primary radiator at the angle below 180 deg. from the referenc direction in the counterclockwise direction and by not making the beam direction between two subreflectors parallel with the reference direction. CONSTITUTION:Beam radiation direction MW of the antenna is defined as the reference direction, and the angle measured counterclockwise from the reference direction side is made positive, and the angle made by center direction F0M1 of conical horn 1 and the reference direction, the angle made by M1M2 and the reference direction, and the angle made by M2M and the reference direction are denoted as theta0, alpha, and beta respectively. The angle below 180 deg. is used as theta0, and the angle of 0--180 deg. is used as beta, and the angle other than 0 deg. is used as alpha, there by making the angle between axes of primary radiator 1 and main reflection mirror 2 arbitrary to remove cross polarization components.
