Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the controllability of the subject motor by a method wherein the second rotor core, having the number of teeth same as that of a stator core, is added to the vernier type stepped motor, and the retentive torque is maintained when the motor is at standstill. CONSTITUTION:The stator core 1 is divided in axial direction, driving phase winding 3 is provided on the inner circumferential surface, a rotor core 4 is divided into two parts in the axial direction corresponding to the stator 1, a permanent magnet 5 is arranged at the middle point of the above, and then the vernier type stepped motor is formed in such a manner that the number of teeth of the stator core 1 is varied from that of the rotor core 4. Also, another stator core 1A, which is the extended part of the stator core 1, and the second rotor core 4, which is directly connected to the rotor core, are provided, and the number of teeth is established for them. Accordingly, the vernier type stepped motor, having no detent torque, can have the detent torque, and the range of use for this motor can be increased, and the controllability of the motor can be improved.
