Abstract
PURPOSE:To inject molten metal without solidifying and prolong nozzle life by providing a nozzle tip comprising a high heat conductivity material between the inflow port of molten metal and nozzle body and uniformly heating the peripheral surface thereof with a heating member. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle tip 11 is grasped between the inflow part 4 of molten metal of dies 2 and a nozzle body 10. The nozzle tip is formed by heat-resisting metals, heat-resisting alloys, cermet, or ceramics materials having heat conductivity of >=15cal.cm<-1>.sec<-1>. deg.C<-1>. In addition, a ring-shaped burner 15 is provided on the outside circumference of the nozzle tip 11 to uniformly heat the entire peripheral surface. Because of this the end of the nozzle tip may be readily heated to the melting temperature of molten metal. In some cases, a heat-insulating packing comprising heat-insulating material of <=0.04cal.cm<-1>.sec<-1>. deg.C heat conductivity is interposed ocasionally between the nozzle tip 11 and the periphery of the inflow port 4.
