Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a formed product of plastic sheet having a thick bottom part by a method wherein the plastic sheet is deformed more than a specified shape and then the dies are deformed to a specified shape.
CONSTITUTION: When the plastic sheet 1 is deep drawn to a cylindrical shape, the plastic sheet 1 is clamped by the forming die 14 and the pressing member 15, heated and then a part of the forming die 14, i.e. a bottom 16 is moved outwardly, air pressure is fed from upper part of the die, then the sheet is bulged out into the die to a desired shape of a reverse doom 1a. A thickness of the sheet is generally thin, but has substantially a uniform thickness. Then, the bottom part 16 is moved upwardly to a desired position and the bottom surface corner 17 can be formed without decreasing the thickness.
