Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a control operation and the constitution of a Numerical Control (NC), by inputting shift data of four axes from the outside of the NC. CONSTITUTION:A Numerical Control device (NC) is constituted by a paper tape reader TR, pulse distributors ITP1, ITP2, and X, Y, U, V-axis driving servo units SVX, SVY, SVU, SVV, and a paper tape PT, in which shift command data in accordance with upper and lower guide loci are punched, is read by the paper tape reader TR. In this way, the shift command data in accordance with the upper and lower guide loci are input from a roll of the paper PT, and driving motors MX, MY and MU, MV for lower and upper guides are driven through the pulse distributors ITP1, ITP2 and the X, Y, U, V-axis driving servo units SVX, SVY, SVU, SVV. Accordingly, the necessity for imparting an arithmetic function of shift command data to the NC can be eliminated.
