CONSTITUTION:A Numerical Control Device (NC) is constituted by a paper tape reader TR, main and submemory units MM, SM, pulse distributors ITP1, ITP2, X, Y, U, V-axis driving servo units SVX, SVY, SVU, SVV and a control circiut CNT, and the paper reader TR reads paper tapes PT1, PT2 punched shift command data in accordance with a locus of lower and upper guides. In this way, shift data of four axes input from the outside of the NC, and driving motors MX, MY, MU, MV for the lower and upper guides are driven. Accordingly, the necessity for imparting an arithmetic function of shift command data to the NC can be eliminated to attain the expected purpose.
