Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the injection controllabilty of the fuel injector of an internal combustion engine by mounting a nonlinear element in the function converter used with the suction amount detector for the fuel injector, in order to enlarge the changing rate of the nonlinear input and output characteristics. CONSTITUTION:In suction pipe 1 of an engine, a hot wire-type suction amount detector 2 is provided together with resistors 3, 4 and 5. The output signal from the detector 2 is inputted to a function converter 12 comprising an amplifying circuit 23, an adder 24 and the like. The output signal from the converter 12 and the signal from a crank angle sensor 16, which is shaped in waveform-shaping circuit 17, are inputted to a integrator 13. After that, a fuel injection valve 19 is driven through a correcting circuit 14 and an output unit 15. In the function converter 12, a nonlinear element (not shown) which makes the input signal nonlinear is mounted to enlarge the changing rate of the signal outputted from the converter 12.
