Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the apparatus added with stable back tension, be coaxially locating the supply turn table and providing the gear coupled with friction to this.

In this case, since the rotation of the gear 25 is blocked, the load in response to the friction between the gear 25 and the turn table 23 is exerted to tape and back tension is given to tape. This back tension gives increase contact pressure for the tape to the head surface for running, allowing to give excellent running characteristics.
