Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the write-in with low laser light output, by providing the thin film in which a plurality of grooves are formed on the optical disc base and photosensitive material is coated at the surface formed with the grooves.
CONSTITUTION: The groove 1a is formed on the optical disc base 1 and the thin film 3 coated or vapor deposited with the photosensitive material 2 is fitted in the form of covering the groove 1a. Further, the write-in laser light is radiated on the surface coated with the photosensitive material 2 through the base 1. To increase the sensitivity of the optical disc, the groove 1a is provided on the base 1 so that the heat absorbed with the photosensitive material 2 is prevented from being run away to the base 1 due to thermal conduction, and the thickness of the base 1 is effecctively made small. The ridge 1b at the both sides of the groove 1a is the boundary of track and since the reflection facter is different between the groove 1a and the ridge 1b, the tracking signal can be obtained.
