Abstract

PURPOSE: To discharge noxious exhaust gas with no use of ducts, by covering the upper portion of noxious-matter generating sources with a hood, providing a fan in the manner that it extends upward through the hood, and blowing air toward the noxious-matter generating sources from the surroundings.
CONSTITUTION: Hoods 5 are fixed over respective noxious-matter generating sources 1, and a unit or units 3 for diffusing exhaust gas inside the hood are assembled in each hood 5 to suit its size. Air-flow controlling diffuser units 7 are provided near the ceiling so that air flows horizontally. Around each of the noxious-matter generating sources 1, there are provided air aupply ports 9 for supplying fresh air therefrom. With such an arrangement, exhaust gas containing noxious matters is made to flow upward toward the ceiling by fans 4 and then carried horizontally on the horizontal air flow near the ceiling. Thereafter, exhaust gas is introduced into exhaust ridges in which ventilating fans 2 for discharging exhaust gas to the outside are provided and thus discharged to the outside along with the air flow induced by the ventilating fans 2.
